    We have just completed issue 9 of [acronym] magazine, and I always find that my favorite articles are the ones that show how the public sector is using digital design technology in practice to overcome all sorts of challenges.

    Saying this, one that always stands out for me is an interview that we did with Jon Hansen, former assistant fire chief in Oklahoma City during the 1995 bombing of the Murrah Federal Building.

    Jon saw technology used in ways that, at the time, were somewhat novel for first responders – using CAD drawings for search, rescue and recovery efforts.

    We got to sit down with Jon and he talked to us about how GIS and CAD technology is being put to better use, but still not to their its potential.
